Summary:      

This position will be responsible for assisting and supporting the  Distribution Talent Acquisition team with administrative and project based initiatives.

 

Shifts:

Flexible to work 2 business days per week (7.5 hours per day)

 

Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour

       

Specific Responsibilities:     

  • Support the talent management team in developing strategies aimed at acquiring and networking with the best possible talent.
  • Assist with the full lifecycle of recruitment (i.e.: job postings, social media strategy, phone screens, scheduling, references, etc.) 
  • Support and/or lead objectives that align with our talent management strategy and initiatives.
  • Researching and enhancing digital recruitment and social media platforms for distribution. 
  • Represent and promote the Company at various recruitment events (i.e. campus recruitment)
  • Assist in organizing career events internally and externally.
  • Support the talent management team with various administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Other Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as assigned.

       

Qualifications:   


  • Must be currently enrolled in or graduated within 1 year of a post-secondary program - undergraduate studies in a HR or Business Commerce Program would be considered an asset 
  • Distribution Centre experience an asset
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, One Note)
  • Experience using social recruitment platforms an asset (i.e. LinkedIn)
  • A demonstrated self starter with the aptitude to drive initiatives
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must have a valid Drivers Licence & access to a vehicle to travel to Distribution Centres & off-site hiring events
  • Flexibility to work outside of business hours as required
  • Comfortable working in a fast- paced environment with an operational mindset
