The Manger, Brand Marketing, is accountable for leading a team that builds and manages an exceptional customer experience in all phases of the path-to-purchase journey. Responsible for ensuring full integration of approved messaging across multiple customer touch points, in both off-line and on-line channels, and supporting the alignment of key priorities and executional milestones within the brand marketing team while supporting the Director in achieving cross functional priorities.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Communications, Insights, Merchandising and Operations to identify growth opportunities and develop recommendations to enhance the development and implementation of 360° integrated marketing programs.
  • Act as internal Brand Champion for all creative assets, ensuring approved brand guidelines are maintained consistently across all store elements, advertising materials and partner promotional materials.
  • Inspire agency partners to develop impactful mass advertising creative for deployment both instore and on TV, radio, print, digital and social media channels to improve brand recall and link.
  • Manage the development and execution of social media content.
  • Manage agencies and design firms to ensure flawless execution of programs and creative assets through strong project management, budgeting, creative briefing and score carding against established goals.
  • Conduct/Coordinate analytical support to improve ROI and program results and shares results with internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the period budget planning process and ensure period consolidations remain on target throughout the fiscal year for all assigned budget lines; ensure financial auditing processes are adhered to by team.
  • Regularly liaise with senior level stakeholders to ensure timely feedback is gathered from all stakeholders and approvals are issued as per outlined Action Plans.




  • Undergraduate Degree in a Business Related Course. Marketing is preferred, MBA an asset.
  • 5 - 7 years brand marketing experience. Grocery Retail would be considered an asset.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to switch quickly between details and the "big picture".
  • The ability to foster relationships with the vendor community at the brand marketing level.
  • Ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders across all levels of management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills & strong project management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build clearly articulated and influential presentations.
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).




This role is instrumental in ensuring ongoing alignment between a large group of internal (Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, Store Teams) and external stakeholders (Advertising, Promotional, Experiential and PR Agencies; Suppliers; Local Influencers; Customers).
