The role of the Supply Chain Analyst is to provide support to Distribution Centre Operations by working under the direction of an experienced team of professionals, the supply chain analyst will identify, plan, coordinate and implement various types of supply chain projects (including strategic projects and continuous improvement projects). Projects can include distribution center capacity assessment, layout and design as well as network optimization and network strategic analysis. The supply chain analyst is responsible for data analysis, time studies, process mapping and KPI reporting through to presentation of solutions, mapping new processes and simulation of results. The findings and recommendations of these projects will be presented to senior leaders throughout the business.                        

•    Identify end to end supply chain improvement projects to continuously improve the flow of products from vendor to store and to continuously reduce the overall cost structure for the business                    
•    Build project requirements and manage the successful execution of a range of selected tactical and strategic projects                    
•    Develop project plans and schedules for various projects as well as status reports including all project management KPIs                    
•    Accountable for all delegated deliverables within Metro's modernization program related to operational readiness                    
•    Introduce structure and rigour to improvement initiatives across distribution centers, transportation and replenishment functions                     
•    Conduct operational feasibility studies, develop operational designs, create distribution center layouts, review productivities                     
•    Work with cross functional teams to execute project initiatives                    
•    In collaboration with other funcitonal stakeholders build detailed project charts and control processes to include activities, phases and durations                     
•    Extract and analyze data from various sources (ERP system, interviews, Excel etc.)                    
•    Execute detailed analysis using mathematical and statistical modeling to highlight major findings to various levels of the organization.                    


•    Possess 1-2 years of relevant work experience within a unionized manufacturing or distribution environment.                    
•    College diploma and/or University degree. Equivalent combination of post-secondary education and directly related experience can be considered.  CITT/or other distinction related to Logistics preferred.                    
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Warehouse Management Systems and Inventory Control Systems.                 
•    Master in Excel (pivot table, vlookup…), AutoCAD, Access, MS Project (an asset)                    
•     Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) an asset                    
•    Detail oriented, strong problem solving skills, with excellent analytical and mathematical skills.                    
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills (Bilingual an asset)                    
•    Ability to prioritize, is organized and is capable of dealing with multiple tasks.                    
•    Moderate travelling between Ontario's Distribution Center's is needed (travel within Ontario and Quebec may be required)
