This position is responsible for ensuring that Floral standards are maintained, for helping with training and opening of new stores, and for offering support to Store Managers in the Floral operational area.  This position is also responsible for the set-up of all new Floral initiatives in stores for assigned territory.



  • Provide support and guidance to store management and Floral Departments Heads in assigned stores.  Assist Store Managers and District Managers in the achievement of district sales objectives.
  • Act as the main contact to assigned Store Managers in regards to Floral operations.
  • Work with Store Managers to maintain proper Floral line-ups and pricing.
  • Support stores in ordering merchandise/ inventory management.
  • Work with Store Managers to maintain proper displays for increased sales and profits.
  • Assist Store Managers in identifying and correcting operational weaknesses in Floral.
  • Supervise the set-up of the Floral Departments in new stores.
  • Constantly review product line-ups and keep current on customer needs and competitive activity.
  • Provide direction and support in managing customer satisfaction levels/standards.
  • Assist Store Managers in developing store employee skills, both technical and people skills.
  • Responsible for set-up of all Floral initiatives within Stores.  Execute new practices and provide feedback.
  • Review Floral margins and inventory levels with Store Managers.  Investigate and explain discrepancies as necessary.
  • Review, track and report on applicable Floral department audits.
  • Review monthly customer care reports and respond appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with Collective Agreement.
  • Attend appropriate meetings and communicate updates to Store Managers and/or Department Managers as required.
  • Evaluate the progress of Assistant Store Manager trainees and provide feedback to District Managers.
  • Participate in any training sessions as required.
  • Perform competition checks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with operational sanitation standards.

  • Flexibility in hours of work is required.
  • Extensive travel requirements, as the incumbent is responsible for a group of stores throughout the province of Ontario.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.



  • College diploma or University studies (certificate).
  • 5 -7 years relevant experience.
  • Floral knowledge and background.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising, planograms, store layouts, and various union agreements.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of BDMS and SAP is an asset.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective teams.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
